MMR Vacsaíniú – Vaccination

Mar is eol dibh tá Jack Ó Murchú ó Rang 2 breoite le hailse faoi láthair. Iarrtar oraibh an litir thíos a léamh agus a chur in úil don scoil má bhíonn bolgach na néan, deir nó an bhruitíneach ar bhur bpáiste nó ar aon duine lena mbíonn siad i dteangbhail.

As you are aware Jack Ó Murchú from Rang 2 is receiving medical treatment for cancer, which puts his health at risk if exposed to measles, chickenpox or shingles. We ask for your co-operation in minimising the risk by doing the following:

  1. 1.     The best way to protect Jack is for your child to be given the MMR vaccination (measles, mumps and rubella)
  2. 2.     If your child, or anyone with whom your child has contact, develops measles, chickenpox or shingles, we ask that you contact the school as soon as possible. We shall inform Jack’s parents so they can take appropriate action.

Your child is not under any risk whatsoever from this situation. We are asking for your co-operation for the health and well-being of Jack. If Jack is exposed to measles or chickenpox, he can be protected from actually developing the infection if the exposure is detected promptly.

We are happy that Jack has been able to remain in school throughout treatment and thank you most sincerely for your help in this matter.

Táimid fíor bhuíoch dibh as bhur gcó-oibriú.
